Training Tip of the Week: Racing can be some of our best training. There is always an element of intensity that's difficult to duplicate in a daily workout. The race atmosphere also brings excitement, which spurs us on mentally and emotionally.

Racing regularly can boost us out of the doldrums and get us out of the rut we may be stuck in. Give it a try. Fun runs typically aren't expensive. Start with short races and later move to longer ones. Use racing to get you on a new track to faster running. Good luck!
